Unless we just got one from a bad batch, don’t buy it. Sellers are welcome to contact me and I’ll take this review down. It was junk. We were in damp sandy soil (no rocks). We began spinning it into ground and it snapped in half.

This holds pretty firmly, but it needs to be a little bit longer so if the ground is moist it will then definitely hold it by being longer. And what I mean by longer is at least two more corkscrews on the road itself.

I saw in some of the reviews before I purchased that one of the main issues was the large gap that allows your lead to tangle in the handle. This did immediately happen however I did find a very simple solution. The “sharp” end comes with a cover, I just slid this over the end to cover the gap and it seals the gap and keeps the cover handy for when we remove it or travel with it. Otherwise it does what it needs to, holds sturdy, we have had no other issues with it.

This tie out is awesome. I used a crow bar to get it pretty deep into the ground, there’s no way it’s coming out. I got it because I dog sit an Australian Shepherd mix, a German Shepherd/husky mix, and a pitbull/mastif mix. It has withstood all three bolting to the end of their leash. Even the derpy pitbull/mastif who seems to like to risk his life, because why breath when you can not.
If you keep it outside, eventually it’ll start to rust a little. Still works though, I mean it’s a chunk of metal.
WARNING: it will lose a battle against a lawn mower . The lawn mower will lose too. So will you. Don’t make them fight , it isn’t worth the outcome.

I am headed to camp in a few days, and since I have a fence at home, I did not have anything to tie my dogs out with. So I purchased this. When it arrived, I opened the package and the Tie out was much heavier and longer than I expected, which for me means that it is less likely that my dog will be able to pull it out of the ground.

Ha una tenuta molto buona. La mia cagnol”ina” pesa 20 KG e una sera in campeggio ha tentato di abbaiare ad un cane cercando di corrergli dietro e questo aggeggio ha retto l’urto meglio di quanto pensassimo. Non era difficile impiantarlo e tantomeno espiantarlo, perché ce lo portavamo dietro anche in spiaggia.
È un sollievo poter fare affidamento su questo strumento, specialmente se si vuole riposare o mangiare senza dover tenere il cane.

I was a little concerned about some reviews that said it was weak and broke, but this seems solid. Went into the ground with no issue, perfect for my small dog. Stainless is a big plus.
