I have a 4 years old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd cross, the epitome of serious and lazy. He does play with stuffed animals for about 30 seconds, then he’s done. He just had CCL surgery with a 12 week, yes 12 WEEK, recovery. Needless to say, he got so bored, so I went searching for toys and snuffle mats. I came across this giggle ball, and figured he’d like it because of the noise (super high prey drive in this boy). This dog went NUTS for it!! So much so, I had to put it away for now because he’d put all of his bouncy, 174lbs in to chasing this thing!! He is supposed to stay calm and not twist around on his leg that he had surgery on. I highly recommend this ball for dogs that are allowed to run around and play.

It makes noise, she chases it, she barks at it, that exhausts her, she is worn out and if you don’t mind the barking at it it’s a great toy. She is however NOT allowed to play with it while I am on conference calls as I work from home. It’s not a quiet, toy, but OMG does it keep her interested, engaged, making a lot of noise until she is flat out exhausted and ready for an N-A-P. It giggles and makes noise when it rolls, doesn’t need batteries, she plays soccer with it and pushes it around barking at it until she is tuckered out or we take it away from her, which ever comes first. It’s too big for her to chew on so not so much as a tooth mark on it anywhere after a few months. She is a four-legged adorable termite that will eat anything she can get her mouth around, this ball is the perfect size, she can get her teeth into the holes where the giggle tubes are mounted just enough she can pick it up and run with it, but she cannot chew it. This one is small enough it gets stuck under the cabinet lines in the kitchen so we then have to go push it out for her sometimes. She is 7.5lbs and 9 mos old. We got her also a larger version, it’s too big for her to pick up at all but it is also is too big to fit under the cabinets in the kitchen so it gets stuck less often as she is chasing it around the floor, but again, she can’t pick the larger one up, but same effect, she chases it around barking and growling at it pushing it and chasing it.

This ball is adorable and my dog loves it! But – the screw-in lid for the food dispensing portion is definitely not chew-proof. It’s a brittle plastic and my medium sized pup managed to break it into pieces within a couple days. The rim is still securely lodged in the ball, but the middle of the lid is gone. The ball still mostly rolls and makes the adorable sounds he loves, but it no longer works as a treat dispenser. If the lid were stronger so this couldn’t happen, it’d have a higher rating. The ball itself appears to be plenty durable, but the lid certainly is not.
UPDATE: The seller contacted me to request photos of the ball so it can be redesigned to be better in the future, and offered a partial refund. I added a star to my prior review for that – I hope they can chew-proof that lid for future versions of the ball.

I love this ball as it’s a great size for the smaller dogs

I bought a small and a medium for our mini Aussie and Lab, respectively. Immediately, they switched ownership. The Lab covets the smaller ball and refuses to give it up except for momentary rolls. The Aussie rolls the large ball around everywhere for (it seems like) hours. They both like the noise. The Lab can fit both in her mouth, but prefers the small one, since it was the Aussie’s. The Aussie can fit neither in her mouth and it doesn’t matter. They roll and they make noise! The Lab hold the ball for three or so minutes, drops it and barks for me to throw or roll it, then covets it (It’s Mine!) for another three minutes. Repeat. First evening, they played with them for at least an hour. They have many other toys, which were ignored. Finally, to save our sanity, we had to take them away, which caused instant depression. These are really great, sturdy, noisy balls.

Ball is made with hard plastic that peels as they chew, then they swallow the sharp plastic! Threw out mine today.

I have a 14 lb Australian cattle dog x chihuahua mix and he has so much energy and loves the ball. He can play with this by himself which is great but the noise it makes is so annoying. It’s nice to see him happy but it’s loud and a very hard ball so it bumps into walls so we give him a time limit to play with it. Overall it’s good.

My Yorkie who weighs 9.5 pounds has been playing with this toy nonstop. It seems to be well made and very sturdy. You can’t go wrong very good price. It definitely keeps him busy!!

Works best on carpet but still squeaks on floor without carpeting. Keeps my hyper pup busy every time I bring the ball out. We got a medium which is a good size for my Great Dane puppy.
