early review , ONLY used it for 1st time last night…..bought for my resident racoons / skunk UNTIL they finally park it for the winter…..last night was clear , about -7 C with windchill……..water and fresh fruit ( that was left ) was all at ” room temperature.”….not cold at all….unit is light , super easy to clean , and seems quite well moulded and sealed to keep out the elements…again , 1st time use , but can’t forsee any issues….only using it winter really sets in ! ( fyi: in extreme cold , water will re-freeze on a per or animal ! ) use common sense and be mindful to same

Love this heated dish, good heat for winter, just wish it came with extra bowls and maybe a controller for the heat ( some days don’t need it to be as high as it goes, would be nice to go from 2V to 12V) Bowls hold quite a bit of food and water for my feral cats, they seem to really like it also.

It was great not having to keep putting water out. No frozen ice so cats could have water anytime they wanted it.

This product so far has worked out great. Last night the temp was 14 F and never froze. The temp never gets to hot or cold but the water at 14 will be tap cool (expected). Otherwise in 20-30s will be luke-warm to warm and never hot which is good thing. The water in dry cold weather does evaporate slowly but just add a tiny bit of water when feeding (once a day if that). Sometimes goes few days with no water needed. Again expected when warm water and cold dry air. So far very happy and no problem with the feral cat chewing on anything. In fact cat just sits and drinks out of both bowls and seems very happy. FYI. I bought one of those rubber heated tread mats (just bought one tread,,,a bit pricey but worth) and put in under make shift small tent and box. The cat loves it in the 30 below temps staying in it for hours. It even helped its stiff rear that no longer seems to be a problem.

It worked great over the winter for my outdoor cat. The cord is long which is nice. Only downside is when water gets under the bowls, it can’t drain which gets slimy and smelly.

Each side holds a good amount of water and food. Keeps everything from freezing on cold nights. Really like that the bowls are stainless steel and are very easy to take out to clean. Good length of cord, too.

I bought this bowl to feed a feral kitty that started coming around our deck. My husband also bought the kitty a heated condo since it gets chilly in the winter. The water bowl and food would freeze if it was not consumed quickly so I researched these heated bowls online. This is not the cheapest but I believe it is the best. The water would stay warm which has to feel good when it is cold outside. The food would also warm up. No issues, since the metal cups pop right out for easy cleaning (which I did daily). A great find!

We have used these heated water and food trays for years. They are lifesaving for stray cats during the coldest winter to keep their water and food warm enough to eat. The metal bowls lift out for easy cleaning.

We have a stray cat that we fed on the front deck, but when cold weather came, the water froze. So I bought one of these heated food dishes mainly to keep the water from freezing. Works great. — Now moved the heated food dish into the barn, and added a Cat hutch with self warming pad. I have a trail camera set up in the area, so we see that the cat loves it. We already have two rescue cats in the house, so this one will have to live in the barn, but it will have warm food and water, and a warm place to sleep.

I feed a group of feral cats from my front porch. They come twice a day, fill up on food and water, have a quick nap in the small cat houses I have out there, then go back to wherever their colony lives. A few weeks ago Texas got a crazy dump of snow and a sharp drop in temperature. The cats kept coming for food, but sometimes all they would find was a bowl full of ice and a food bowl topped with snow. I changed it out all throughout the day to try to keep it all thawed, but I was losing that battle. So I bought these heated bowls. I think I got the last ones before they were sold out. They are wonderful. They keep the water and food at around room temperature no matter how cold it is outside. Never hot. The cats took to it well. Right after I received the bowls, we experienced a deadly freeze here. Single digit temperatures (which Texas is not equipped for). It was too cold for the cats to walk through daily so when they did brave the cold to get some food, I wanted to make sure they didn’t come all the way out here for nothing. So these bowls ensured there was always edible food and nonfrozen drinking water. Oh and the power cord is plenty long. Some people worry about the cords being too short. It is long and weather proof.
The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because after the bowl has been on for days, it starts to produce this weird smell. It’s a chemical smell, kind of like freshly bleached sheets or new plastic or something. It got to where the cats hesitated to drink the water and sometimes they bypassed the water altogether. I washed the bowl regularly, but even after washing it, the smell would be on my hands. (It wasn’t a bad smell to me, but obviously off putting to cats.)

I’ve been using this outdoors all winter to feed stray cats. I bought it to replace a bigger bowl from another manufacturer that didn’t even last a couple of months. This Thermo-Kitty Café dish has been much better.
I like how it has separate food and water dishes. It gets severely cold here some nights, but this kept the water drinkable and the food from turning into frozen rocks. The little dish seems to hold about a cup-and-a-half of food, and the bigger bowl holds maybe a litre-and-a-half or so. It depends on how many cats are coming by, but I usually have to refill it daily.
The metal dishes lift out easily, so they’re not difficult to clean. Once in a while, I’ll bring the whole unit in for cleaning, which I do by wiping it down with a soapy rag. Kinda wish it came with some backup dishes though, so you could swap out the dirty dishes with clean ones.
Also, I really appreciate how it has a grounded cord. This bowl’s been outdoors and exposed to the elements. Some days it gets warmer and wet out, and even though this thing seems to be sealed watertight, you’ll still want a grounded cord for safety’s sake.
Overall, I’m happy with this bowl.

An excellent product that works well and keeps food and water at a comfortable temperature for feral cats who visit my carport at night when the temps really drop.
