Decided to go with the doggy version of the flirt pole we had at home. Dog trainer recommended we get a flirt pole for my mini schnauzer puppy which the one we got was for cats. (It was very frail and I worried it would and could snap.) so I found this one and so far-it’s been really good. Wasn’t too worried about the construction of the pole with my mini schnauzer, but the giant schnauzer is a whole ‘nother ball game with that.
My giant loves loves loves toys and chewing this up and chasing. Tried it out with him and we play really hard with him using the pole. He loves to tug on it and have me tug back. 70+ lb dog who has an extremely strong jaw and body and so far, the pole has stood up to his strength. He’s usually running around all over the house, but after 30 mins to an hour playing with it- he was actually tired! Which is great cuz he’s the type of dog that wants to play A LOT
I will say I’d probably redesign where the two points meet up. I keep worrying of it snapping and it keeps unscrewing while in play. I personally would a more sturdy construction due to my giant schnauzer being a hard and tough player with his toys. These are more suggestions and critiques versus actual cons.
Overall I’d say it’s a fantastic toy for our two dogs who loves to play with toys. It’s sturdy enough to withstand our giant schnauzer (70+lb and very active one) for now. Anything less than that, I wouldn’t worry too much. Will likely come back again sometime. Thank you!

I bought this for my two extremely high energy heelers hoping it would help give them some more mental/physical stimulation during the day. They have no interest in it but my 150lb mastiff who usually sleeps 23 hours a day goes NUTS for it. She is STRONG and this thing has held up to some pretty rough play with her. I am very surprised by how sturdy and well made it is for the price. Definitely recommend.

My boxer is in love with this flirt stick and can never get enough of it! The stick itself is great and feels very sturdy so I’d expect it to last a long time. My other dog is afraid of it due to a jingle sound it makes from the metal loop at the end moving with the metal clip holding the rope. Not at all a fault of the product, it just seems he has a fear of certain noises. Holding the flirt stick is very comfortable due to the extra pieces they have sticking out to help your ergonomics so it definitely allows you to use it longer without your hand getting tired. Overall, amazing purchase for my dog!

I tried out the toy on an a very strong dog that gets obsessed with mouthing,
When I starting playing I found the cord is too short for successful redirection with this dog.
The handle and metal stick and cord is very strong very good quality
It would be great if there was an extra long cord that came with this flirt toy
Also a few separate tug toys to attach to the cord.

I have a golden retriever who is my amazing service dog. He means more to me than I can express, and he DRAMATICALLY helps me and enriches my life, while I’m isolated and suffering a lot from serious illnesses.
So this thing plus non toxic dog bubbles are SUCH blessings to us!!! 😃🥰❤️
My dog is truly one of the most amazing animals I’ve ever met. He even plays with the wand toy WITH my 3 cats! They all take their turns! It’s hilarious! I call them my Big Dog and 3 Little Dogs. 😊
But of course, he wants his own wand toy… and now he has it! 🙂
I’m too weak to walk my service dog often. But thank God we have a great backyard! So I swing this thing all over (you could even do it while seated if you’re in a wheelchair, just have lots of space all around you, and keep moving it; but see my last tip), and he jumps and leaps at it! Runs after it! It’s truly adorable! And he doesn’t want to stop! He LOVES it! 🤩
It’s surprisingly well-made! I mean the handle is ergonomic and easy to hold on to (did not expect that!), the poll is heavy duty but not heavy, and the connecting rope is great! I only wish they had a bigger rope toy at the end for big dogs. But it’s not bad, and I can easily connect one when this one wears out. 🙂
Where it matters: this thing is well-made!
And it gives my boy and I much needed joy and much needed exercise for him! 😊💕 He’s tired and smiling while panting at the end. Jumping like that is really great exercise, along with the running after it. 🙂
*Important tip: Dogs and cats can both develop anxiety/OCD if you don’t let them catch things like this at least every 3-5 attempts to catch it/movements. Same with laser pointers! They need to be able to pounce and “catch it”. Or it can cause horrendous behavioral issues. I’m a dog trainer, and I’ve seen and heard about the sad effects that can happen if people don’t know and do this.
Just teach your dog “drop it” with positive affirmation (highly recommend online dog trainer Zak George!), and it’s easy to begin again! The dog will learn that dropping it INCREASES fun, not decreasing it. 🙂
So just wanted to set you up for success! 🙂 Using this correctly is hilarious (great to entertain other people also), fun, great bonding, and great exercise for human and dog! 😊🥰💕

We have an Australian shepherd pup (3 months, 24lb) He loves this thing. Pole is sturdy and holding up so far. He plays tug and also chases with this. I like that it detaches into smaller pieces and fits into a backpack without sticking out. 4/5 only because it’s hard to review longevity of the product this early, and my dog will gain another 40lbs as he grows. But so far this has held up great through about 10+ sessions.

Our two heading breed dogs love this toy. It’s great fun for them and a great thing to use on days when they can’t be walked. So far, it seems to be made of good quality. I’m happy with the purchase.

I was concerned about finding something that was strong and sturdy enough to handle my 85 pound, 1 year old lab. This surprised me with how well constructed it is. My lab loves playing with it, he gets so excited when he sees me bring it out.

My 3 month old puppy loves this toy and gets tired after playing, which is the point! The pole is sturdy and strong. The rope seems thick enough to hold up for a long time. All in all very happy with my purchase so far.

So, we got this because the two or three previous flirt poles that we purchased were quickly dispatched by the rambunctious and destructive force of nature that is my young husky. She’s fast, wild, and LOVES playing with the flirt pole.
This one is described as “heavy duty” and they ain’t joking, Jack. The pole itself could be used as a weapon. The rope could probably help get my truck out of a ditch, and the toy on the end will take out a lamp without even trying.
So, yeah, she won’t destroy it any time soon but it is actually TOO heavy duty.

This is so much fun for me & my pups! They chase it and I just have to drag it around, wiggle it or make it jump! I love how the rope connector to the wand swivels so easily, the rope knot is tough and just the right thickness. The length is perfect so they can chase it but don’t get wrapped around the rope cord. This is very well made and everything is forgotten when I bring this toy out! I highly recommend!
