Love it! My dog loves it! The people at the dog park love it! The whistle is the best thing about these balls but the hard durable rubber and the denseness of the ball really make it fly. Let me quickly breakdown each of these:
First the sound is like a…well, whistle coming from a human but oscillating and slightly different. It helps the dogs track where it goes and helps them find it better when it is getting dark (while flying of course, not when it is stationary). It barely makes a sound when throwing it with the wind but really howls when throwing it into the wind. This is why you get this ball and most everyone at the dog park perks up and wonders what that is, asks about it, and thinks it is very cool; which it is!
Next is the durable rubber which doesn’t have a single bite mark or split yet in 4 months of constant daily play for about 1 1/2 hours every day! The dog chews it as he brings it back and other dogs steal the ball and run with it while “killing” it perpetually and it has held up great. I don’t claim this is going to be Kong ball durable but it is very well chosen rubber.
Last is the denseness of the ball which really makes to go far in a chuckit launcher. One doesn’t really notice how far this goes until going back to a tennis ball and realizing how short a tennis ball goes compared to this. The whistler ball, and presumably other chuckit rubber balls (glow, irregular bounce), go 30-40% farther when I throw then using the longest chuckit thrower. This is excellent and wears my retriever out even faster; not to mention the rippling muscles he has from sprinting that whole way!
Overall I got both ball several months ago and we started with the blue ball and haven’t had to touch the orange one yet. This is his goto ball at the park and it is the most popular ball, bar none, for all the dogs to steal. The bright blue aspect, the rubber aspect, the sound, and exclusivity of it make it coveted by dogs and owners. I might be gushing and glowing over this ball a bit much but I tend to do that when something unexpected ends up being part of your everyday life and blows you away at how wonderful it is.

Aguanto el producto más que otros juguetes para mí perro, es un pitbull bastante juguetón que ha roto todo juguete, pero en general este a aguantado le es más difícil poder morderlo y creo es parte de lo que ayuda a que haya durado.

My dog loves these balls. They are really durable and work super well. they are good for super long throws or short tosses. They also are quite bouncy which is extra enticing.

Gizmo, my Yorkie-Poo, LOVES ball. As a puppy he used to chew through regular small tennis balls so last year I decided to try Chuck Its… they work great! I’ve used the variety pack (erratic, glow in the dark, “ultra” and the whistler) but only one gets brought to my feet when its time to play… the whistler ball.
We have a good sized back yard and a thrower. The whistler ball is perfect with the thrower because he can hear it while it flies over his head which adds in the perfect detail to make it a realistic hunt. We use the orange ball a LOT because it is easy to find, especially on snow or grass. The blue one blends in a bit more. That said, the blue one is perfect in the fall with the leaves because the orange one is hard to see when there are a lot of leaves on the ground. Usually though, the blue ones stay inside and we take the orange outside.
I love that you can clean/rinse the balls off and after a year of use (and we play a LOT of fetch) they are both in great condition. He still chews the fuzz off regular tennis balls but these show no signs of chewing at all after an entire year! I decided to get a couple more as backups, we almost had a catastrophe a few weeks ago when I couldn’t find his whistler ball… luckily I managed to locate it but I decided I should prepare.

These balls are great for fur baby aggressive chewers. They are the size of a tennis ball, but alot more durable.

Our puppy loves chasing these balls. They have lasted for weeks so far through daily use playing, fetching, and chewing. Much better than the fuzz covered balls that she destroyed in a day!

Updated review:
I just ordered these again, as he plays with them so much that there are usually several balls under the furniture. Once he runs out, he barks at said furniture until I dig them out. This order will give me a few minutes of peace. Haha! These are well made, good material and are holding up well to constant play by a very active puppy.
These were delivered about 30 minutes ago, and my 10 month old Shih Tzu puppy has not stopped playing with them. He’s in his playpen now, and most toys don’t hold his attention very long when he’s in there. He loves to play fetch more than anything, even treats, so he will enjoy these indoors and out for that game. They’re small enough for him to easily pick up and hold with his smushed little face. For reference purposes, he’s on the small side for a male Shih Tzu, only weighing about 9 pounds.
These balls also have a great bounce, which adds to his fun. I highly recommend them!
