I’ve ordered other ball throwers for my little schnauzer however I’ve had to send them back due to the noise. She was afraid of them. And she doesn’t bark at the vacuum (I did work with her giving her treats and letting her become accustomed to the vacuum and the noise it makes over a few weeks) Now, she could care less if I bring it out.
This ball thrower doesn’t bother her, I did the same thing with the treats, letting her smell it and see it sitting there for a few days, I’m showing her how to drop the ball in, however she seems to prefer I do it as she likes the interactions. At least for now. 🙂
I do recommend this machine; my daughter is buying one for her dogs as well. They don’t like the noise of the one she has and will not use it. I am ordering another one so I will have one for another area in the house.

Based on other reviews, these were purchased specifically for use with the All For Paws Automatic Ball Launcher For Dogs instead of the small tennis-like balls that were included with the launcher. It is important to note that our dog has a very strong set of “chompers” and quickly dispatches his share of those “indestructible” dog toys with remarkable ease.
Not so with these! As noted in other reviews, the color on some of the raised portion of these does wear off after several hours of use. However, our boy has yet to puncture a single ball!
We do closely supervise their use, don’t leave him/them unattended and wash them in the kitchen sink after every play session. These are easy to clean and the primary colors of each has remained intact. We consider these to be a high quality product and will purchase them again!

We were hesitant to purchase one of these for our ball obsessed morkie bc the reviews on these machines weren’t great and they weren’t cheap either but this one was great, it def worked. It has 3 diff distance options. I would say the only thing you should consider before purchasing is if your dog is going to catch on to where to put the ball or if you’re able to put the time in to train them (which I realized was my issue) and if you have a place to keep it. It seems durable but I can’t really speak on longevity as we only used it for a week or so, but didn’t have any glitches with it during that time.
I hope this was helpful for someone.

My Westie’s constantly rip toys apart… these haven’t been destroyed.. very durable, softer landings and safer for in the house as well. Great Product!

These work great with the AFP Automatic Ball Launcher. Our girl likes chomping on the balls as she brings them back to the launcher and sometimes will spend a bit of time playing with these balls, rather than playing fetch – amazing since she is OBSESSED with playing fetch.

We have an ALL FOR PAWS Dog Automatic Ball Launcher (mini) that came with tennis balls. Our dogs broken those quickly, so I was looking for an alternative. Other 2 inch balls we’ve tried have gotten stuck, but these work well and seem pretty chewy so far. Only downside is some of the print rubs off and flakes around the ball as the dogs keep getting it wet with slobber.

Well made balls that cannot be bitten apart

After weeks of researching, we thought this would be perfect for our slobbery corgi. Within a week, the pushing mechanism inside broke off on one side. Even though the ball doesn’t get soaked with slobber, after about the fourth use, it stops working because the rollers inside get too wet. Very disappointed. We have to swap out the balls and clean the inside while he is using it if we want it to keep operating. We still use it because our dog seems to like it but we cannot let him use it unattended as we had hoped.
