The Tie Out Cable for Dogs is amazing, great quality with great material, is sturdy and durable, my dog likes to chew a lot and this cable is chew proof.
We use it to take our dog camping and it helps him to explore and hang with us safely, the lenght is perfect so he doesn’t go away to far.
I was amazed with the quality and the good and affordable price.

I feel compelled to write this review in hopes that it will help another dog owner. We have a 50lbs siberian husky, she’s from a sled line. She’s a puller and a runner. So I went ahead and found the highest weight rating on a leash I could find to keep her safely leashed in our yard, brownie points that this one was actually pink and pretty. 2 HOURS into the first use of this leash, she snapped the small flimsy metal clip like a potato chip and was running loose in our neighborhood. This clip that is expected to hold 500lbs is no bigger than my finger. Thankfully our night ended with her being brought home by a neighbor who saw her running loose when we had no idea the leash even broke. There is a reason husky owners keep them leashed. We are very experienced in taking the necessary steps to prevent our dog from getting loose so I’m extremely upset. They are notorious for running off and getting lost so thanks to this leash that I thought was inaccurately strong enough to hold her, we could have lost our dog. I would not recommend. Who cares about wasting $28, the risk of loosing your dog is not worth it.

I was very pleased with this tie out. It stood up to a lot of pulling and movement

This tie out cable for dogs is good quality – adequate cable coating, strong compression compression sleeves, nice swivel snaps.
Use it for my dog when we go camping, just the right lengths to keep him within the campsite.
Not able to chew it, compared to regular leash and size, this is very good durable and lightweight, appears to be strong enough.
Overall constructed of heavy gauge coated wire, with sturdy snap hooks. It serves its purpose. Good value !

When you read the title that says it’s made for a 250 lb dog you expect a certain level of robust/heavy hardware. This looks appropriate for a medium to small dog. The spring clips are very small and light weight. I highly doubt it would hold up for a labrador trying to pull hard on it. From everything I’ve seen it does not appear or feel to be poor quality. Hopefully it holds up for some time despite the smaller stature. I won’t be ordering another one of these. If you have a tiny dog this would probably be perfect for you.

I’ve been using as a tether leash for my dog tommy who is about 45 pounds. I like how this is made to last longer than a standard leash. It’s also harder for my dog to bite this leash because it’s steel wire coated in vinyl. I think this leash is a great value for the quality. the length is just enough for tommy to stretch, move around and go potty.

I have 4 dogs and 3 of them are pretty old (over 12 years old) and restricting their movements is usually not a big problem like when we need to mop the kitchen or shampoo the carpet BUT we also have a 2 year old terrier/chihuahua combo that can bounce off the walls. He would jump over the small barriers that we would use to keep the dogs out of an area so this small investment made everything easy. Usually, we just hook him up in the back yard on a good weather day and let him run, he is not a big fan of the restricted movement but it is a much better idea than a crate (we hate those) . The ends are very sturdy, the hook slides smoothly on the wire we have in the backyard and nobody is harmed and our kitchen/carpet/etc. stays clean and safe until it dries or we finish whatever project we are working on. The cable itself looks like it could hold back a very large animal so no worries about it breaking and the coated steel cable means he can’t chew through it so a great solution. Such a great solution for such a small cost makes this an easy 5 Star rating for us.
