Received the item a while back but only just attempted to use it today with a small bully but it fell apart. Unfortunately past the 15 day frame for returns.

My 11# dog was swallowing the last inch or so of her bully sticks. I had to do something, so I looked at all of them and purchased this one. Works like a charm and just the right size for her. Love the color, too. The stick will NOT come out when it gets close to the end.

Our German Shepherd would devour a 6″ bully stick in about 5 minutes, including swallowing whole a 2″ piece – not good. We got this to keep him from swallowing the last huge bit, and it worked great. But he still went through it so quickly it hardly counted as entertainment. Then we figured out by getting a second one, and putting one at either end of the stick, he had to shove his snout in between them, which only allows him to nibble at it. He will keep at it for 45 minutes before he works his way through. Then he has little bullies in each holder to finish off – bonus! Highly recommended.
After about 20 uses, the end cap on one of them fell off, but it doesn’t affect it’s usability in the slightest. You can see he’s done some serious chewing on both, but they’ve held up very well. Every once in a while we throw them in the dishwasher.
Just a note, like many GSDs, he has a sensitive stomach, so we use bully sticks made of collagen, which doesn’t cause diarrhea.

I had high hopes for my (then ) 6 month old mini sheltie/aussie mix to have a safe chew holder. Darby is an aggressive chewer. It only took two dental chews for the boniVet to be rendered broken and unusable. I watched as he chewed, but turned my head for 5 minutes as he closed in on the finish of the second use. He was able to somehow loosen it, take out the remainder of the chew, and break off the holder inside. expensive experiment!

Great company to work with! After the first review I was contacted by the company! They offered a reimbursement or replacement. I chose the replacement with the larger size. It was sent immediately. My dog saw it the minute it was out of the box, went crazy, so of course he had to try it out for “quality control!”. It worked well, but having anything left over drives my dog nuts! I think chewies should be designed to soften more at the last inch to allow dogs to safely finish them! (Hey, I am not a chewie maker, but Someone must be smart enough to figure how to do it!!)

So far so good! Have used it three times for my pupper and it’s been great. It’s heavy, keeps the bully stick in place and reduces the possibility of choking. I tried using a large yak cheese chew in it however it wouldn’t fit as the opening was too small but works super well with the Costco bully sticks! Seems pretty durable so I cannot comment just yet on longevity as some reviewers indicated it broke too easily but my initial opinion is it seems to be quite durable.

I have two of these now, as we have a Labrador and an AmStaff mix. The Lab has some trouble getting the bully stick chewed down close to the holder due to his immense muzzle and head, but the AmStaff isn’t bothered. My one complaint is that the surface opposite the “tooth” isn’t really textured, so some sticks can roll and become easily dislodged. But the whole product has some good heft to it and feels solid and well-made.

This is exactly what we were needing with our puppies favorite chew. They are very thin lamb pizzle sticks that I would have to hold onto when he got to the end piece…I was SO worried he would try to swallow it and get it lodged in his throat.
I bought the smaller option and it tightens so tight I don’t have ANY concern of him getting to the end piece and he is an aggressive chewer. It’s so much easier to tighten than the other brand for the larger ones too.
You don’t even have to be too worried about getting the middle bolt lined up as it pinches closed around it on all sides so is snug and secure. We are going to get another one in the large size for bully sticks as it is so much more secure and easy to use than our other one!

Our dog had his front leg amputated so he had a hard time holding onto something he was chewing. We’d give him bully sticks and he couldn’t hold it. So this was perfect for a bully stick! You place the bully stick or whatever narrow/thin chewer in the hole and tighten the holder. There’s a point that comes in when you tighten the holder and it will lock the whatever chewy is in there. The bully really stays in there until it got all slobbery and too short to stay in the holder, so just be mindful and pay attention to how short it gets. This holder helped him so much! He could finally enjoy chewing on something again! This was really a great find. Also beware that the it can come apart so slobber can get into the cracks and holes so wash it from time to time.

This bully stick holder works great for our mini dachshund! We buy the small 6 inch ones & only have to throw out the last inch now. She is a very aggressive chewer & pulls really hard but hasn’t been able to pull it out of this holder. It’s really well made & so far so good! So nice to not have to worry about her swallowing the last 1-2 inches!

We were told by our vet to hold the Bully Sticks so our dog wouldn’t choke by swallowing them as they begin to soften. This is such a great invention. The sticks are expensive, and this allows the dog to chew it down to a very small piece, and not run the risk of swallowing it then as well. We’ve had our holder for a few months now; so far, it seems durable and works very well. (There are occasionally some of the Bully Sticks that are too big to fit in it. –we bought the small holder for our 9 month old doxie.) If the screw mechanism fails, I will definitely buy another. I highly recommend this to anyone whose pet loves Bully Sticks–and you prefer not to hold them for the furry family member!
