These aren’t the lightest stakes around but being made out of steel means they can be driven into much harder packed, rocky earth than aluminum stakes. This is my second set of 10 as I needed another set for our camping setup.

These drive in easily with a framing or machinist hammer. If the ground is really hard you will need some kind of pry bar to get them out though. The best way to get them out is to take your hammer and tap them around side to side and front to back for probably several minutes to vibrate them loose inside the ground. Sometimes you can just pull them out but a pry bar makes it much easier.

    Well worth the price!!

  2. Alan R Monson

These are great. Work as advertised and are sturdy. I have used these to hold down shade canopies, stake small trees during wind storms, and stake tents. They are great!

  3. Shannon L.

I use these to keep my awning from blowing away. They do well in sand and sandy soil.

  4. Ashley

We live in a pasture and get really strong winds and these have been amazing. The kids always say the trampoline isn’t going anywhere because Santa tied it down.

  5. Ben P

They’re standard tent spikes with tie-off rings. The orange coating is nice. However, it’ll crack and fall off with the first use of a hammer to drive them into the ground. Strangely, the box they come in says there should be 10 stakes, but like the description indicates, there’s only eight. Regardless, they work and that’s all you need to know.

  6. Cody Russell

Easy to install. Overall good quality. Straps seem to be a good quality. So far no problems on windy days!

  7. Reader

I got them to hold my 14′ trampoline down when it gets windy. I like that they are high viz orange so when I gotta move the trampoline to mow under it I’ll be able to see the screws.they seem very durable. I figured these would be easier than the cork screw type since I have rocky ground .I used a stake to start my holes for the screw stakes kinda like a pilot hole.

  8. Thunder God

I have used several types of stakes over the years and I really like these. Very sturdy and heavy construction. The hooks for the guy wires will bend if struck by your hammer but I recon that is to be expected. Additionally, paint is no match for the striking blows so it chips off of the head almost immediately. No worries. The stakes are easy to install and if you hook you claw hammer 🔨 under the guy wire loop and pull directly in line with the shaft ground removal is a breeze 👌
