Dogs can be deceptively strong! 1000 lbs isn’t all that much for a big dog, and it will supposedly hold up to 1000 lbs pulling without coming out of the ground. Since our dogs are SO big and strong, I plan to cement this in, like you would a fencepost. Not a five gallon pour, it’s not a mailbox, it’s a tether. I am really excited to see that it does seem VERY strong and durable, and once we get it installed, the dog can run in all directions without the concern of getting tangled around a post. If it works for the dogs, I would happily get more of them for our goats, which is on the list of animals you can use this product for- and many of our goats are trained to be tethered. It would be fantastic to be able to install a few of these in areas we want to tether a goat in, but don’t want to fence yet.

Exactly what I was looking for. Super easy to set up; it didn’t even take 10 minutes. I’ve got two dogs, but only one is using it right now, so I’m curious to see if they end up getting all tangled. There is absolutely no way it can be pulled out of the ground, so you don’t have to worry about your dog getting away. My kid also tried yanking it out in the first few minutes and couldn’t manage it.

This tie out was simple to install and works great from keeping my tie out lines tangle free. Great product!

I love this product! I have a huge backyard but out of my two dogs , only one is truth worthy . The other would run away and get lost if we tried letting him off the leash . So we always had to use this tie out stakes and i cannot tell you how annoying it is to constantly have to untangling him from the stake itself . He’s chasing his sister non stop out there , usually in giant circle, so the line gets wrapped the stake making it short and dangerous . Dangerous because my dog thinks he still has just as much room and runs but gets yanked back because the leash got short from the tangle. Thank goodness we use a front clip on his chest so it doesn’t hurt his throat but it can still hurt him in various other ways. but that is NO LONGER AND ISSUE ! this solves that problem ! i didn’t think anything like this existed. I would try to put duct tape around mine but that would only last a little while. This products is amazing ! and way more sturdy , too! I was nervous it would just come straight out the ground because the screws are straight but nope! this guy is sturdy! the other one had to be put back in every other day or less. So actually not it solves to huge problems ! don’t hesitate on this product , you’ll love it .

Made of good quality, heavy metal, this dog tie-out stake includes a dome with chain clip and rods as the stakes. There are several such stakes, all of which are able to be inserted into equally spaced pre-cut holes, or removed from them as desired. The vast majority of this stake system is meant to be underground within solid earth. The metal dome, or cap, is the only portion that should be visible above ground. The dome is roughly 2 or 3 inches tall, allowing for lawnmowing without needing to remove the stake, but only if the blade is accurately adjusted for this height. It also has a ball bearing swivel that secures the clip loop to the stake.

The metal used is good quality and heavy, and the stakes appear so far to be very durable. I do expect these to last a good long while when correctly installed into a suitable region of ground. Absent any special circumstance, or immediate environmental or landscape issues, this dog stake should work just fine and withstand the pull force of most sizes and breeds of dogs tugging against their chain. My dog is large but not mastiff large, which is why I can only varify up to my dog’s size.
    5 out of 5 stars.

As someone who injured their foot and broke their shoe on one of the spiral ones that stick way too far out of the ground I really appreciate this design. We installed on a wet day and the ground was very soft, but despite that it held in place with no issue. Very easy to install and has held up well. My husband believes he will be able to drive the lawn mower right over it with no issue (removing the line first of course) but we won’t know for sure until that time comes as it is currently winter. Our dog is only 45lbs but she is very strong and at times will run full force to the end of her line and it doesn’t budge.

Easy to install with drill. Once placed, stays put with no worries. Since it’s flat to the ground, does not pose a trip hazard. Looks nice in the lawn too! 360-degree swivel works well with our 50-lb. Siberian Husky. Very happy with this product! Highly recommend!

I’ve always worried products like this wouldn’t have the grip to keep from getting pulled out of the ground with larger dogs I’ve had but now that I’m downsizing to a 15 pound cavapoo this is more than enough to confidently rely on this interaction to keep from being pulled out of the ground. This is definitely great for taking on camping trips and it’s easy to install and remove to keep our dog tethered at a campground and not have to worry about her getting wrapped up around a bunch of trees by Tying her up on the perimeter of the campsite
