Not 24″ tall as advertised, not stable as advertised, very narrow and that is the reason for instability. They are actually between 21″ and 22″ high but close enough to 24′ that it is doable. The stairs are deep enough to make climbing easier and my dog doesn’t slip as much. Elliott has fallen a couple of times when he got excited and tried to climb and it almost made him shy away but with encouragement and patience, he keeps using them. Good quality materials, I probably would not buy again if I could find a good alternative. By the way my dog is a senior Maltese.

These stairs are advertised as dog stairs, but my older cat figured them out instantly by herself. The four-step model is just about perfect for a cat to reach an average height couch or bed. They come vacuum packed in a small, sealed heavy plastic bag. Cut it open carefully so not to cut the foam and they begin to expand to size and shape immediately. Directions say to allow 24 hours for them to reach full size and shape. This is the second one I have bought and both times I would say they were about 90 percent of final size and shape within an hour. I put the cover on them about this time and had them ready and in use after about two hours. Putting the cover on and taking it off requires a bit of work but at least you are able to remove the cover for washing. So far, the cover seems durable and is holding up well. They are pretty stable and seem very firm too so unless you have a large or heavy animal, I don’t think tipping over or sliding would be an issue. Certainly, they will work for any cat.

The cover they sent was made for a 4-step stair and didn’t fit the 5-step stairs, and there was no way to contact the seller. I didn’t want to return the stairs because it was vacuum-packed and it expands to a huge size which makes it difficult to ship.

I bought this cushion, so my dog could easily get on and off the couch. It is exactly as described and sturdy. My dog uses it to get on and off the couch with ease.

My 15 year old cat has arthritis in his back legs. My bed is 30” tall and he’s finding it difficult to get up on it. None of the other products I looked at were tall enough for my bed height. Yours was the perfect height. I thought it would be a struggle to get the cover on it but it took me just a few minutes.

We have the five step version and it works really well for my chocolate lab. For whatever reason, my dumb almost 70 pound chocolate lab could not figure out how to use the plastic steps that we have for my cat. He’s now about 10 years old and needs to use the steps because he can’t jump high enough to get on the bed. he would constantly fall off the plastic set of steps we had. It took him a little bit of adjusting, but he can use these foam stairs without falling down, without tripping, and it has really improved his life. Totally stable for 70 pound Chocolate lab and a 65 pound beagle mix .

When putting the furniture covers on, the covers tore by the zipper. The zipper also broke on the top cover. If I could get replacement covers I’d up my rating. Disappointing given the price, and no way to obtain replacement covers.. Looks a bit tacky, but will make due.
