I was happy to see it came with two of the replacement tails. I guess I didn’t read the description, but I was only expecting one.
It’s true, if you have a chewer, this won’t last a long time. But it is a fun toy for dogs that like to chase.

Ok, so my dog loves toys, when I ask her to go out and play, she grabs a toy and runs outside to wait for me. Now, with this thing, when I come outside with it, she immediately drops what she’s holding, and gets super excited. She LOVES this thing! She’ll chase it way longer then any other toy she owns, it’s her favorite! The rope and “pole” are pretty durable, she likes to tug the toy after catching it, and it’s held up so far. She’s not a big dog, about 45-50 pounds, so I’m able to tug back against her. The thing inside that rattles, came out, but that’s to be expected, she tries to shred the furry toy on end of rope. I did order a replacement toy to go with this order, but am still using the first one. One thing to note, be sure pup doesn’t get wrapped up in the rope in their excitement. Great purchase, highly recommend!

We have a dog with many toys, but he tires of them after a while. During severe winter weather, we were trying to get him exercised, inside,somehow, as he is a runner and jumper by nature, in good weather, using our large property to stay happy and healthy on his daily outings with us, It is impossible to tell you how excited he gets at the sight of this pole, and the rattling of the little stuffed animal hypes him up totally. We never knew he could grab “prey” out of midair until this came along! He wags his tail the entire time, every second, that it is in use, until we finally get tired, before he does, and hide it away in a closet. He chases it around and around the room , whether we drag it on the floor (at great speed) or twirl it around in the air. When he does catch it, we just pull it back from him and twirl it around again. He never loses the enthusiasm and the pure joy of playing with it. BEST thing we ever have bought in all the years, for any of the dogs we have owned. The pole, though quite lightweight, seems quite sturdy, as does the plaited nylon rope. If this ever breaks, we will buy him another immediately, and now, we also plan to get the larger, longer version of “flirt pole” for outddors when the weather allows.

I have had this toy for about a week now and my 12 week-old puppy absolutely LOVES it! She has seemingly infinite energy, and I was having difficulty finding ways to tire her out, especially because she hadn’t had all of her puppy vaccinations yet and wasn’t allowed to play with other dogs (which meant no dog park, no puppy class, etc.). I saw this toy when I was browsing Amazon and decided it was worth a try. Well, as I said earlier, my puppy absolutely loves it! I move it around the floor and she chases after it running full speed. It is by far the best way I have found to entertain her and tire her out inside the apartment, and the best part is that I don’t have to run around like crazy: I can just stand (or even sit) in one spot and swing the toy around. She cannot get enough of it.
As I stated before, I have only had this toy for about a week, I probably should mention that my puppy is only about 3-4 pounds; however, the toy seems to be extremely durable. A larger dog might be able to do some damage to the toy itself (just as they can with any other toy), but it does come with a replacement. Also, I love how thick and sturdy the rope is. For a puppy as small as mine, the rope part can sort of double as a rope toy, because it is definitely sturdy enough for a small dog to chew on it without you having to worry about them destroying it or swallowing pieces of it. I would guess that the toy is probably durable enough to use outdoors, but I have not tried that yet. Regardless, on days when the weather isn’t conducive to playing outside, this toy is a phenomenal way to entertain your dog inside and get them to burn off some energy, even if you don’t have a ton of space inside your home.
Overall, I truly believe this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. You and your dog can get hours and hours of fun for a very reasonable price. I have made countless purchases on Amazon over the years, and this is the first time that I have ever taken the time to write a product review, which should tell you how much my puppy and I love this product. I would highly recommend this toy for anyone who has a puppy (or an adult dog that still has lots of energy and enjoys playing with toys), especially a smaller breed (like a Havanese, which is what my puppy is). If your dog is anything like mine, you (and your dog) will be extremely pleased with your purchase.

I was hesitant to spend even more money after all the things we needed to buy when we got a new pup, but I am SO GLAD I got this flirt pole!! Not only is it lightweight to hold with one hand but I can sit down to use it if I chose. It has held up VERY WELL! One of the toys he got the squeaker out of, but the toy is still in tack and usable. I have put both toys through the washer and dryer at least 3 times and they are still perfect.
The rope and pole are very sturdy- our dog is only 6 months old and already weighs 51 pounds- large breed, and the whole thing has held up amazingly! We play “flirt pole” at least 30 minutes a day and usually an hour by the end of the day and nothing is frayed or torn or anything!
And the best part is that our pup LOVES IT! All I have to do is say “flirt pole” and he’s sitting at the back door staring at the pole waiting to go out and play 😂

We’ve had this 4 days and my 5 month old Shih Tzu was getting mouthfuls of fur when he would capture it. Last night after letting him play with it for a couple of minutes I noticed the seam was not sewn allowing him access to the squeaker and noise maker. The pole seems durable and is a great length. Hopefully I can find more durable toys because he loves it!

My pup is a well of energy and this toy makes it much easier to meet her exercise needs. Quite durable for a small size dog (I can’t speak for larger breeds), and it has helped tremendously. And it’s so cute to watch her chase this toy around, haha 😁

wonderful toy for a crazy puppy with crazy puppy energy. I love finding new ways to play with my dogs, our big boy isn’t so interested in it but my 1yo aussie is obsessed. i think with supervised use they won’t tear up the little toy at the end but i could always add another later if needed, and it doesn’t have to be the same brand. the rope itself is strong and durable, she’s chewed and tugged with it and it shows no signs of wear, though the toy has seen better, less drool covered days. all in all a great choice if you have an active puppy.
