I have 2 Labs and both love to chase and retrieve balls. They bring them back as fast as I shoot. My second shooter, the first finally broke a rubber band. Cheaper and easier to get second shooter than to replace a band. I like it, dogs get really excited when I pick it up, play time.

It’s amazing how much it’s helped my brothers dog gain stamina when out playing. We used to throw the ball by hand but she never seemed fussed to get it, but now she’s really going for it!! My dogs also ADORE this! I’ve never seen them so excited over a new toy.

    The bad things:
    – Many people have mentioned in reviews that the ball doesn’t travel as far as you’d expect. But try this, to get the ball to travel further, simply push your arm forward at a speed and then fire! We noticed how much further it traveled. (If the ball was to travel at quite a distance, then the dogs probably wouldn’t see it!).
    – Unfortunately it’s not worth £22.90, but hey, money’s for spending.

This is a very FUN toy to play with your pup/dog. My 200 pound Rottweiler (yes, he’s a freak, not fat, but a too-tall-Jones) loves it. He loves it when I shoot the tennis balls about straight up in the air and he watches it, like a hawk. He doesn’t want to catch it on the way down, he waits for the bounce. Then he’s got it like a hawk! 🙂

We have about 2 dozen tennis balls that we play with at a time. It’s not a very big area we play in, hence the straight up balls. BUT the other thing he loves is when I shoot them kinda straight to him but make sure they land about 5 feet in front of him. This makes the balls bounce. He likes the bounce and can catch those balls much quicker.

I bought this as a back-up to the original one I bought. The original fell off a 6 foot ladder in a wind-storm (um, the ladder was leaning against the back of the house, and that’s where we had left it), and part of the pull-back handle broke off. BUT it was definitely usable! And we used it constantly, still do.

I was just worried that the original would break and we would have to wait till a replacement came.

It’s remarkable how long the rubber bands actually last in this. Kudos to the makers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a fun toy to play with your pups. VERY STURDY!!!!!

This looks like such a wonderful idea, and I could hardly wait for it to arrive in the mail. Unfortunately, it’s a little disappointing, especially for the cost, because it is even less effective than a simple manual “flinger”, which my dog greatly prefers. I am a petite middle-aged female who “throws like a girl”, so I was looking forward to this allowing me to launch my dog’s balls much further, creating a more fun challenge for my “retrieving-loving” dog. The part that needs to be pulled-back on in order to launch the ball, requires a great deal of strength, which defeats the purpose if you ask me. Then, when the ball is launched, it flies no further than if I had thrown it myself! It is no different when my husband uses it, who is MUCH stronger than me! We both prefer to use the simpler (and much less expensive) expandable flinger made by this same company. Those also take up much less room to store, so we got two of them, and keep one in the car for unexpected play times away from home.

This Hyper Pet K-9 Cannon is basically a tennis ball gun. But don’t let the simplicity fool you. It’s very well made, and can lob any tennis ball across my nearly half acre yard. I have a Border Collie, and as you well know, they are working dogs and on the hyperactive side. This is his favorite toy. This one is actually a replacement for the original, which we bought over 3 years ago. It was accidently left out during a deep freeze and the band was compromised. Our fault, not the manufacturer. It’s a great way to get your dog interested in fetching and keeping them well conditioned. It’s a simple piece, and easy to use, even for kids. My dog loves this toy. We shoot it on the roof, in the air and across the fields, and he finds it every time. I would not recommend this for indoor play, as it is very powerful and could cause damage in the home. Overall I give this 5 Stars, but would give it more if available. It’s that awesome!

Our dog loves playing fetch. This was a very nice doggy play toy until it broke. its not the seller’s fault. Out of curiosity I took it apart to see what broke and hoped it was something simple I could fix. Nope. I noticed that there are about 12 screws and bosses molded into the plastic. All the plastic bosses were the same size. All but 1 do nothing but hold the 2 tube halves together. That particular one plastic boss is the weak point. It gets all the stress of the trigger mechanism and force of the sling shot rubber band. If the manufacturer added thick support ribs at the base to strengthen this 1 boss to take the extra mechanical stressing this particular boss gets, the durability of this product would greatly improve. I do not know if other manufacturers of similar toys have such strengthening features in the places where the product needs it the most. I never did a tear down of those other products or have those other products to see what is inside theirs… could be better/could be worse. But maybe this review finds its way back the manufacturer to have them change their injection mold die in 1 spot.

Upon opening of the Amazon package I could tell this product wasn’t going to work. It was very obvious that someone else had bought, opened, and returned this product before it was sent to me. The black backing that the gun is hooked to was all taped together where it had been completely ripped apart. The Amazon shipping box was in fine shape – no damage at all. I had purchased Wilson tennis balls as well and was excited to try this out. I opened it immediately and put a ball in and pulled back the handle which is where I quickly was disappointed. The handle wouldn’t even latch. I tried different ways for 20ish minutes and the only way it would catch at all was only when I picked the ball up off the ground and only as far back as need be to make room for the tennis ball. It would not catch any further back. I’m glad I did this at work and not at home in front of my dog.

pas terrible , lance à peine à 20 mètres , et si la balle est mouillée alors la balle ne va pas à plus de 10 mètres , aucun intérêt , très déçue

My dog is all about the ball so he loves this thing

Molto robusto e potente, peccato che il cane ha paura del rumore che fa
