I’ve been using wee wee pads of various brands for about 4 years now. I first trained my Havanese to use them as a puppy when I lived in a New York City apartment. I’ve continued using them for convenience while I am working and because he prefers them to going outside in poor weather. I now have a second puppy who is also training on them.
My absolute favorite brand of wee pads is called Paw Trax. They have an incredibly fast absorbing gel inside that nothing I’ve found matches. I’ve only found them online on two dog specialty websites, but they are pretty pricey at about $.50 each! Not wanting to break the bank, I went in search of other brands. At first I discounted Wee Wee Pads because my local pet superstore sold them at such an outrageous price that the Paw Trax were a better deal. Then, I found them on Amazon at a much better price, especially for the 100 pack.
These pads, while not the best in my opinion, absorb fairly quickly and are more absorbent than some of the other bargain brands. The only problem I’ve experienced with them is that sometimes the pee seems to expand fairly wide when it is absorbing, which means it’s only good for one use. Having two dogs, sometimes that means my second dog will not use the pad if I’m not around to change it. Other than that issue, I’ve never encountered anything else negative such as seeping through the plastic liner, etc.
I’m also fond of the Nature’s Miracle Advanced pads which are larger and better suited for multiple uses. While these don’t seem to absorb as quickly, they don’t expand out as much. That combined with their larger size makes them ideal for my multi-dog home. Had I only had a single dog though, they might be a bit too large unless I was planning on leaving them out for extended periods while away.

My dog got the idea of how to use the pad very quickly, and now I can sleep until a normal wakeup time. 🙂
Good absorbency – my dog uses it more than once. Good value.

These two little cuties are indoor dogs, and medical issues of my own prevent me from taking them outside to go potty. Essentially, the dogs are litter box trained! 😂 These pass work great! Very absorbent and the raised edges and quilting prevent leaks well. It’s worth the price for me to get this brand and not have to worry baby saving a few pennies and dealing with a mess.

I like the training pads. They work very well for me for my dog who is blind. He uses them every day. He eat his breakfast and goes pee right on them. It very much helps me not have to clean up pee on the floor.

I can’t say anything more about these than other have. They’re great pads that do the job right. An especially helpful feature is the blue coloring for the bottom. In the past, my wife and I have accidentally placed other brand pads that are all white accidentally upside down. Then our poor dog will pee on the plastic side and make a mess to no fault of her own. With the blue side, there is no question which side goes down.
Yes, you could say that it’s easy to simply touch the sheet and feel which side is the fabric side. Blame it on being busy, careless or oblivious…it happens. Whenever I go to a different brand to avoid the price jump on the four paws, my wife just rolls her eyes. And it never fails, I’ll always flip the all white pads at least once!
With that said, I notice the price moves quite a bit. I’ve reviews my past purchases and I notice the price for the 100 pack bag will move from $22 to $35. That is quite a beta for a product that seemingly should be easy to control production costs. Now that I’m aware of this, I’m going to rent out a warehouse the next time I see the price drop and check to see how many palettes I can buy! Time to stock up!

We use these for our two older dogs. They are very absorbent. I do think the price is a little high but we’ve tried other brands at a lower price point and they weren’t as good. Definitely recommend for puppy’s or for any dog that may not be able to wait to potty.

we just got a new puppy and I haven’t had a puppy in a long, long time. The thing I was most anxious about was accidents all over the house. We live in an apartment and he will have to use them between walks for the rest of his life (not just puppyhood)
He had a little bit of familiarity with the pads, but he’s taken to them beautifully. I don’t know what smell/attractant they use but it seems to really work for us. And it hasn’t leaked through once. Admittedly he is a small dog, but he doesn’t even seem to go to the edges, instead he goes right to the center each time. We paid $25 for the 100 pack, apparently reduced from close to $60. We may stock up incase the price goes up!!

A little smaller than I thought but works really well. Thanks for the great service Amazon!
