The product is great, but it comes with a very weak pump (50GPH).
I bought a new pump, with 80GPH and the result is much better.
Fresh water all the time, and my dog loves it.
The manufacturer should think about changing the pump for a stronger one.

I have 2 dogs and 5 cats. Yes, I’m certifiable. BUT, I’m a great source for testing animal products! LOL I bought this b/c of its size. It can become tedious refilling water bowls 2-3 times/day. I fill this once a day and I’m done. I could probably go longer but prefer to fill it first thing in the morning to make sure they don’t run out. All of the animals use it and prefer it to the bowls of water that are out (just in case the power goes out). I clean it a few times/week and I don’t use the filter. My water is filtered already and I don’t see the point, esp with how frequently I fill it.

This drinking fountain works great for my large Lab and his cat brothers and sisters. One great feature is the red light that comes on when the water is low. Being able to see the water level through the front of the basin is a plus. There are two filters, a foam filter, on the pump, that is super easy to quickly clean and a canister filter. Order a spare.

He did not like it at first, water bowls should be silent, inactive. Two days later and he is using all the time. I left his old bowl down till now, but I will remove it. I got the large, but I wish I could have found a smaller version.

I have a dog & 3 cats, two of which are Maine Coons. Maine Coons love to play in water & after reading some recommendations I got some regular cat water fountains to try to reduce constant water spills on the floor. The regular fountains were too low for them though, so they were constantly dragging them across the floor trying to get them into a suitable position for drinking. My dog was also afraid of the fountain and didn’t want to drink from the streams of water coming from the middle. This meant I still had to have a water bowl as well as the fountain, which the Maine Coons also dragged across the floor, slopping water everywhere. I would literally clean up a water spill just to find a new one 10 minutes later. I’ve been using this fountain for a week and I haven’t had one spill! It’s high enough for my kitties, and also heavy enough to make it very difficult to drag across the floor. The water basin in the fountain & super quiet motor are also bowl like enough that my dog will drink out of it. The filter works really well & keeps the water looking nice & clean, even after days of use. Highly recommend!

After 24 hours of use I’m impressed and surprised at how quiet this fountain is. I’ve used 2 other brands or styles and both were smaller and much louder. The drinking area is large enough for multiple smaller animals ar 1-2 larger dogs. The one thing I dislike is that the drinking bowl doesn’t clip in at all just rests on top. The assembly was fairly easy except for the fountain bowl and drinking area holes didn’t line up easily. I had to tighten it down to get it to settle into one of the holes.

Initially, I was hoping for a nice replacement for my old dog filtering water bowl. This “filtered” bowl is annoying.
Pro’s: The metal top is a good alternative to plastic
The pump is quiet.
It holds a decent amount of water for big dogs
CONS: The filter get clogged very easily.
the filters that come with the bowl do not filter
I had to add a filter from my other filtration system bowl to help this bowl
the pump does not come with a way to stay in place, it moves which makes it difficult to line up
with the hole in the metal top.
the entire thing needs to be cleaned at least every 5 days or it stops working.
the amount of SLIME that forms on this product is gross.
My dog is not a gross dog. Filtrations systems should be cleaned regularly, but this is a tad absurd. This thing gets very gross, even with extra filters added. If I could return this item I would. Now I am looking for another filtration system for my pets.

This is great. It holds a lot of water so I’m not filling as often. Easy to clean and is very quiet.
The auto shut off feature is great. I have burned up pumps in previous fountains due to water level being too low and pump still running.

I bought this a few months ago after looking for months for a good investment for my 7 cats. This was well worth it! They love it! I don’t use the filter because I use water from my fridge which is already filtered. You know when the second filter is getting full because the water sprout isn’t as high.
